Nettoyage au jet du système HabiLev'

HabiLev' demonstration in a natural environment - The making-of

A full-scale test to prove the effectiveness of the HabiLev' system

HabiLev' had a clear objective: to demonstrate to outdoor accommodation professionals the reliability of its system for protecting mobile homes against flooding.

A test site under natural constraints

To guarantee realistic test conditions, we relied on an infallible natural phenomenon: the tides. 🌊

However, finding a suitable site proved to be a real challenge.

We needed a venue that combined :
➤ A sufficiently significant rise in water levels.
➤ Access allowing the system to be installed with a mobile home.

After a great deal of research and several refusals from the local authorities, we identified an ideal location: an area with a high tidal range, but protected from the swell.

Overcoming technical challenges

The site chosen was a slipway with a slope of 10 to 11 %. A complex parameter, because although the HabiLev' system has feet with jacks to correct horizontality, it was not designed to adapt to such an incline.

Thanks to the ingenuity of our technical teams, a solution was found: a system of wedges with rubber pads to stabilise the platform. 🦾

An exceptional logistical deployment

This full-scale test required considerable resources. It was impossible to simply roll the mobile home to the installation site! Several people and resources had to be mobilised to ensure an efficient and safe installation.

We would like to thank :
👏 The Vendée department's port service teams.
👏 The harbour master's office at L'Aiguillon-sur-Mer.
👏 The companies ECO MH and TRIPAP for the provision of a mobile home.
